In the first year of launching WOLACO we pursued every avenue and platform to show people our product and tell them about the brand we hoped to build. It wasn’t easy, constantly pitching our business, wearing our heart on our sleeve, trying to give people a reason to believe in us and the brand we were building.
Make no mistake, having someone choose to wear your clothing and endorse your logo is an emotional decision making process, one that we don’t take lightly.
In those early days of building WOLACO, we relied heavily on support of our early adopters and our team fed off of their energy, we still do. Our brand has been shaped by our customers and supporters, those that have gravitated to WOLACO along the way.
Among the earliest of adopters, was the LGBTQ community here in NYC.
That embrace helped us gain traction and build the foundation of our business. It was the LGBTQ community that was an ally to us and forever we’ll be an ally and friend in return. In its purest, most honest form, the active Way of Life is unconditionally inclusive, just as PRIDE itself represents. At WOLACO we are with the movement every step of the way, at your side, shoulder to shoulder, towards progress and into the future.
NYC is our home so this year for PRIDE month, with global pride happening here - we’re going to highlight a few beloved members from the WOLAFam & LGBTQ community on our blog and social channels.
We’ll also be launching a limited run PRIDE collection with 100% of the profits being donated to LiveOutLoud, a non profit that nurtures and empowers LGBTQ youth to build a successful future by connecting them to positive role models and affirmative experiences in the LGBTQ community.
Lastly, it’s core to our belief system and the inclusivity of the WOLAFam to accept and respect, not just during PRIDE month but always.
